Naveen Mandava - Co-Founder and Executive Director

As Executive Director, Naveen Mandava utilizes more than a decade of experience in the Education Sector to ensure the continued quality, utility and scalability of the services the Policy Innovations offers.

Naveen had earlier worked at RAND Corporation (USA) as a Doctoral Fellow, on various projects including Value Added Assessments that measure the true impact of a school for its students. Currently on the faculty of the Takashila Instituition's Graduate Certificate in Public Policy, Naveen has worked with global organizations and institutions like the Centre for Civil Society, the Azim Premji Foundation, Harvard University and the World Bank on some fundamentally innovative solutions in the field of Education. Naveen is also a co-author of the book State of Governance and Law, Liberty and Livelihood.

Varun Kumar - Co-Founder and Director of Operations

Varun Kumar brings to Policy Innovations his penchant for development, prototyping and execution of cutting-edge solutions in the Education Sector, which drives the operational scalability and implementation for assessments across initiatives and projects.

A graduate of IIT Kharagpur, Varun left a career of Operational Management with ITC where he minimized costs and maximized productivity, while handling multi-million dollar technical operations. Prior to joining Policy Innovations, he was part of the Fellowship at Community Health Cell that took him across 16 Indian states on a motorcycle to assess the realities and progress of over 200 grass-roots projects in the fields of Health and Education.

Saraswati Chandra - Business Development Lead

Coming from a background in Technology Mapping and IP Landscaping, Saraswati Chandra brings her professional experience to establish and continually enhance the ongoing relationship we share with our clients.

Also a graduate from IIT Kharagpur, Saraswati provides the much-needed impetus to help develop our business in a smart and sustainable manner.

Soujanya Kumar - Assistant General Manager, Operations

Soujanya Kumar manages our operations and daily functioning, bringing over 10 years of real-world experience in Resource Mobilization to Policy Innovations. His extensive experiences include project management for the Naandi Foundation and Dr. Reddy’s Foundation.

Palash Gogoi - Projects Manager

Palash joined Policy Innovations as an intern while earning his BBM from the Darwin School of Business Guwahati. He now manages large scale research projects throughout the country, largely responsible for training volunteers and conducting quality control for field projects.
